Private One-on-One Sewing Class
Service Description
One goal, one instructor, your pace. Private classes start with a 2-hour minimum. Pick one goal per session: - Set up and use your sewing machine - Learn to read a sewing pattern - Cut fabric based on a pattern - Make a garment from start to finish - Sew a specific project from start to finish - Alter a garment (hemming, taking in, letting out) - Fix or repair a piece you already own - Learn one technique: sleeves, darts, or fit - Draft your own pattern Not sure which goal fits? Tell us what you're working on and we'll help you choose. Price: $260/2 hours. Who: Ages 5 and up, any skill level. Adults 19 and up, and students 5 to 18 with a parent or guardian (Optional). When: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Times depend on instructor availability. To book, reply with: 1. Your skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) 2. The project you're working on 3. Your one goal from the list above 4. Your preferred days and times, within Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM 5. Cancellation Policy
1. Registration & Payment: Full payment is required to secure your spot in a class.Spaces are limited; registration is first-come, first-served. Sewing Lab reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes with low enrollment. 2. Cancellations & Refunds : Student cancellations made 7 days or more before the class start date may be eligible for a refund or credit. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class start date are non-refundable. Missed classes are not refundable. 3. Safety & Liability: Students must follow all safety guidelines provided by instructors. Sewing Lab is not responsible for injuries caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow safety instructions. Children must have parental/guardian consent to participate. 4. Materials & Supplies: Unless otherwise stated, materials are included in the class fee. Students are responsible for personal belongings; Sewing Lab is not liable for lost or damaged items. 5. Conduct & Respect: We maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Disrespectful, disruptive, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from class without refund. Sewing Lab promotes learning and creativity, this is a non-competitive, encouraging space. 6. Photography & Media: Sewing Lab may take photos/videos during classes for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify us in writing before your class. 7. Policy Updates: Sewing Lab reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Weather Policy Sewing Lab follows Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) for weather-related closures. If FCPS is closed, cancels after-school activities, or has a delayed opening, Sewing Lab classes will also be canceled or rescheduled. We will notify students by email/text of any changes as soon as possible. Classes canceled due to weather will be rescheduled or credited, no refunds.
